Starting March 7, the City of Houston will begin staging in the Girard Street and First Street area for water pipe repairs.

Starting March 7, the City of Houston will begin staging in the Girard Street and First Street area for water pipe repairs. The repair work will begin the week of March 14 and water will be off in the Jesse H. Jones Student Life Center, which will be closed. SLC ID Card services will be available online. In addition, one lane of First Street will be closed during this time, with total street closures at various periods. The project is scheduled to be complete by Friday, March 18.
