Woman Claims Shards Of Meth In Purse Were Healing Crystals: Cops

DICKINSON, TX — A Dickinson woman was charged with narcotics possession after she allegedly claimed the methamphetamine officers found in her purse during a traffic stop, were healing crystals, officers said.

Cactus Calderas was pulled over by Friendswood Police in the 1300 block of Parkwood Drive for a minor traffic violation on April 13.

Police said Calderas appeared nervous when she was stopped, and allegedly gave police consent to search her car.

During the search, police said they found her carrying several butane lighters and a small pipe. Police said they also found small shards of methamphetamine in her purse.

Calderas allegedly claimed the shards were healing crystals, police said. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine, police said.

She was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
