2 Arrested In Abuse Probe At Care Cottage Treatment Facility
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Jadaniran Thompson for felony injury to a child amid an abuse probe at the Care Cottage Facility

WILLIS, TX — Allegations of abuse at a state-funded facility for at-risk girls has led to the arrest of two, and an arrest warrant issued for another.
The Care Cottage, a state-funded facility that specialized in the care of at-risk girls aged 6-17, allegedly received numerous reports from residents at the facility.
Those complaints became public in May, and led to the dismissal of at least five employees from the facility.

On Tuesday, investigators arrested Hiram Thigpen and Jasmin Lyons on abuse charges.
Thigpen, who is charged with felony injury to a child, is accused of grabbing and throwing a child to the floor, then putting his knee on the child's neck, during an incident at the facility on April 11.

He is still employed by the facility.
Lyons, who is no longer employed at Care Cottage, is charged with felony injury to a disabled child for allegedly fractured a child's arm in October 2017, when she grabbed and twisted a child's arm, according to a press release fro the Montgomery County DA's Office.

However, Jadaniran Thompson, who is charged with felony injury to a child, is at large.
Thompson, who is still employed at the facility, is accused of grabbing a child by the neck and choking her during a February incident, and scratching the child's neck.
