Jim Spigener Running For Groundwater Conservation Seat

MAGNOLIA, TX — Experienced executive coach Jim Spigener announced his candidacy today for The Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District (LSGCD) Place 2.

Jim is running to return accountability, fiscal responsibility, and property rights to the people of Montgomery County.

“Today I announced my campaign for LSGCD Place 2 because I am fed up seeing the people of Montgomery County get run over by the unelected bureaucrats at LSGCD,” declared Spigener. “Due to mismanagement at LSGCD those who can least afford it are having to choose between paying their rising water rates and putting food on the table. The burden being placed on these people by a bureaucracy that has no accountability to the voters, property owners, and taxpayers of Montgomery county is unacceptable.”

  • Ending the abuse of power by unelected bureaucrats
  • Returning accountability to the voters
  • Protecting private property rights
  • Fighting for families that are struggling to put food on the table in Montgomery County.

Spigener is a seasoned executive coach who helps senior leaders in companies worldwide demonstrably improve their individual impact on organizational safety.

He’s coached more than 50 C-suite executives from Fortune 500 companies, developing their leadership skills and worked with them to create custom strategies for safety, excellence and culture change. He looks forward to coaching LSGCD on accountability, fiscal responsibility, property rights, and implementing wholesale culture change.

Formerly a nine-member appointed board, the LSGCD will now be a seven-member elected board due to HB 1982, which was passed by the 85th Texas Legislature.
