Cleveland Woman Arrested After High-Speed Chase

SPLENDORA, TX — A 41-year-old Cleveland woman who led police on a high-speed chase into Cold Springs Tuesday morning faces felony evading charges.

Splendora Police said they saw a white Dodge pickup on Holly Street pulling what officers said was a silver box trailer.
The box trailer had Farm tags and was allegedly reported stolen in Harris County, according to the Montgomery County Police reporter.

When police tried to stop the pickup, the driver refused to stop and took off at a high rate of speed onto U.S. 59.
Deputies from the Liberty County Sheriff's Office joined in the pursuit with speeds reaching 80 miles per hour.
The driver exited at FM 2025, and continued into Cold Spring, and eventually turned into a trailer park, crashing into a tent behind a trailer.
A man who was a passenger in the pickup, ran and was founding hiding under a bed inside the trailer.
Police detained the man for questioning, but he was eventually released.
Investigators examined the trailer and found a 4-wheeler inside, officials said
Hooper was arrested and charged with evading arrest, and could face other charges.
