Here are the top three stories today in Dallas:

  1. Nearly 100 firefighters were on scene at the Army Navy Plus store on Friday morning battling a massive fire. Located at 11287 Harry Hines Boulevard, the store had received a large shipment on Thursday that prevented the firefighters from accessing the fire in a way that could help stop it sooner. Heavy smoke was seen in the area of Walnut Hill Lane and Interstate 35E due to the fire. (WFAA.com)
  2. Single-family homes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area saw a 30 percent decrease in sales from November 2021 to November 2022. The decrease is the largest since the period immediately after the Great Recession. There was a total of 5,791 single-family home sales in November of this year alone. 3. The Texas Department of State Health Services has issued a recall for oysters harvested between Nov. 17 and Dec. 7 from an area of Galveston Bay. Illnesses have been reported from the TX 1 shellfish area, including gastrointestinal issues escalating to fever, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, cramps, chills, and headaches. No hospitalizations had been reported due to the oysters as of Friday evening. (NBC DFW)
