Mom, Daughter Drown In Fort Worth Flood Waters: Report

A flash flood watch is in effect for the area until 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

FORT WORTH, TX — A mother and daughter drowned in floodwaters in Fort Worth Saturday, The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

According to the paper, the pair were in a mid-size sedan when they were swept away by high water down a culvert. Firefighters have responded to 15-20 high water calls before 12:30 p.m., the paper reported.

Fort Worth police and fire officials warned residents of the dangerous flooding condition. A flash flood watch is in effect for the area until 4 p.m.
