Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:
- Dallas gas prices have hit a seven-month low. The average price of gas in the Dallas area is now $3.20. Some gas stations are event recording prices below $3 a gallon. The gas pump relief is certainly welcome at this time since around 32 percent of Americans were planning a road trip during Labor Day weekend, according to AAA. (WFAA.com)
- Hundred of thousands of Dallas-area homes lost power after Sunday's storms. Oncor reported more than 120,000 power outages across the Metroplex after high winds and heavy rains impacted the area. The storm also caused more than 300 flights to be delayed at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. (KERA)
- The Texas Rangers have designated Dallas Keuchel for assignment after losing Friday's game against the Boston Red Sox. Keuchel posted a 12.60 ERA in his two starts with the Rangers. This season, he has posted a 9.20 ERA. The Rangers got Keuchel as a free agent in late July. The team recalled John King, a left-hander, from Triple-A Round Rock to replace Keuchel. (US News)
