Here are the top three stories in Dallas today:

  1. Alison Appleby was crowned Miss Dallas Teen USA 2022 - with her service dog, Brady. The 17-year-old has autism and epilepsy. Her goal was to present with Brady to prove that people with disabilities can still compete in pageants. This was Appleby's first time in a pageant. (Fox News)
  2. According to a new report published by the Kenan Institute of Private Enterprise, Dallas is the country's fifth fastest-growing city. The think tank is an affiliate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The report highlights the population's shift toward the South and West. The shift is primarily due to tech hubs and hospitality sectors. Click for the full report. (Axios)
  3. The second H-E-B store in the Dallas area is set to open on Nov. 2. The area's first location opened a few weeks ago on Sept. 22. The new location will offer a full-service pharmacy, curbside service, home delivery, a car wash, a fueling station, and a True Texas BBQ restaurant. (San Antonio Current)
