AUSTIN, TX — The Austin Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance with identifying two suspects involved in the aggravated robbery that occurred in September, officials said Wednesday.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, Sept. 2, just before 2:15 p.m. in a Rite Care Pharmacy located at 3706 Guadalupe St., according to a police advisory. One of the suspects entered the business while another stood by the door, police said, before the first man jumped over the counter into the work area.

The suspect pulled a gun on the employees before directing them to lie face down on the floor as he demanded opioids, according to the police account. The two suspects fled the scene after learning the pharmacy did not carry opioids, police said. No injuries were reported.
