The 28th Annual AIDS Walk Austin Looks to Raise Awareness, Support Prevention
The 28th annual AIDS Walk Austin is returning to raise money and awareness for 10 local HIV and AIDS advocacy organizations.

The 28th annual AIDS Walk Austin is returning for a day filled with music, food, and entertainment to raise money and awareness for 10 local HIV and AIDS advocacy organizations.
“We are deeply grateful for the support we’ve received and thrilled to welcome the community to join us at this year’s walk,” Executive Director of AIDS Services of Austin Paul Scott said in a press release. “Every contribution made at the walk touches a life, with 87 percent of each dollar going directly to services here in Austin.”
ASA, the producer behind the walk, is the largest HIV and AIDS service organization in Central Texas that focuses on enhancing the health and well-being of those affected by HIV/AIDS. Organizers are hoping to exceed last year’s accomplishments of more than 1,000 participating walkers and more than $253,000 raised for 10 HIV and AIDS agencies in the country that support prevention and education.
