Active Adults Invited To Enjoy Valentine's Potluck, Mini Fair

The City of Leander's Active Adults Programs will host a Valentine's potluck and a Caregiver's Day Mini Fair for the month of February.

LEANDER, TX — The City of Leander is committed to offering programs designed for all members of the community, and active adults have countless opportunities to enjoy the various activities scheduled throughout the year. The Active Adult Programs from the Leander Parks and Recreation Department include activities and events designed for community members ages 55+, and gives participants the chance to meet new friends and neighbors and explore all that Leander and surrounding areas have to offer.

Each month, events and activities are scheduled appealing to a broad range of interests and as a way to promote community-building. For the month of February, participants have the chance to enjoy fun and exciting activities including:

  • February 12 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Valentines Potluck Luncheon

A pot-luck luncheon for all Active Adult members and their friends 55+. Each member is asked to bring one dish that can feed up to 8 people, whether it is an entrée, side or dessert. The theme for this luncheon is Love is in the Air, so be sure to bring the foods you love!

  • February 20th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.: National Caregiver's Day Mini-Fair

The Leander Active Adults program will be hosting a mini-fair in support of caregivers in the Leander Area. This mini-fair will feature information on resources available to caregivers and those in need of caregivers. This is an opportunity to show appreciation for some of the hardest working individuals in our community.
