AISD Continues Offering Families Access To Local Produce

The Farm Fresh Box program offers families free produce from the Common Market Texas at select curbside locations.

AUSTIN, TX — The Farm Fresh Box program at Austin ISD, providing free, local produce from The Common Market Texas will continue to offer families free produce boxes at select curbside locations. Featuring a variety of Texas-grown vegetables, the produce boxes are available at no cost to families with children under the age of 19.

The Farm Fresh Box program will run through Thursday, Oct. 8 and children may accept the boxes, or may be provided to the accompanying adult of the children, or with documentation of the children they are requesting meals for. Produce boxes will be available until they run out, and distribution takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Wednesday, September 30: Akins Early College High School, Casey Elementary, Covington Middle School, Kiker Elementary, Kocurek Elementary, Paredes Middle School
  • Thursday, October 8: Blazier Elementary, Langford Elementary, Perez Elementary, Pleasant Hill Elementary, Rodriguez Elementary, Uphaus Early Childhood Center, Widen Elementary
