Alamo Drafthouse Cinema Lakeline Hosts RBG Memorial Screenings

The memorial screenings of the films RBG and On the Basis of Sex honor the late Supreme Court Justice with proceeds benefitting the ACLU.

AUSTIN, TX — Join friends and neighbors to celebrate the extraordinary life of Ruth Bader Ginsburg with a memorial screenings of the films, On the Basis of Sex a biographical film based on the life and early cases of the Supreme Court Justice, and RBG a documentary exploring Ginsburg 's exceptional life and career featuring commentary from a host of cultural and political luminaries. Proceeds from the screenings support the ACLU Foundation's Women’s Rights Project.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and following recommended safety guidelines, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has implemented procedures to ensure the health and well-being of staff and guests including:

  • asking guests to please maintain 6 ft. of physical distancing at all times
  • requiring guests to keep masks on at all times unless if eating or drinking
  • asking guests and staff to wash hands frequently
  • temperature checks upon arrival
  • exit by row
  • guests experiencing symptoms such as coughing, sneezing or those who may have been exposed are asked to please stay home, with refunds gladly offered
