ATX Love Local Offers Creative Way To Support Area Businesses
All Collective celebrates Austin businesses and invites the community to stay connected and support area restaurants amid COVID-19.
AUSTIN, TX —As communities grapple with the uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic, and the public health crisis evolves daily, families and individuals look for ways to settle into normalcy. In these challenging times, it's important to keep connected as a way to process everyone is experiencing the same reality, and shared experiences lead to stronger ties and greater empathy for one another.
Austin is a community of caring, and in difficult times, residents have always found creative ways to show they're invested and they care about their neighbors. As an effort to support local and demonstrate the commitment to helping the community overcome, ATX Love Local and All Collective invites Austin to the ATX Living Room Picnic on Saturday, April 4. The endeavor is intended to showcase what Austin is all about, while supporting local restaurants, bars, breweries and makers that are facing especially tough times with closures and layoffs.
The premise surrounds purchasing a meal and bottle of wine or crowler of beer, grabbing a blanket and enjoying a picnic in the comfort of your living room. Participants are invited to post about their picnic or sharing about their favorite restaurant, bar, brewery or wineshop on social by tagging @atxlovelocal and #atxlivingroompicnic.
