AUSTIN, TX — There's many things to be said about Austin, but one of the city's most defining characteristics is how much we love our pets. Not suprisingly, in 2019, Technobark ranked Austin 3rd in the country among the most dog-friendly cities. When you live in such a pup-loving community, you can expect to find great events and activities to enjoy with your fur babies.

On Thursday, Feb. 13 The Austin Chronicle hosts a pet-friendly happy hour to commemorate the Austin Chronicle Pet Issue hitting stands the day before Valentine's. Attendees will have a chance to celebrate the evening posing alongside their pooch for a special Valentine's photo op. The event will also feature sample CBD pet products by Your CBD Store, as well as an opportunity to visit with the Chronicle's resident celebrity office dog, Hank-the-Chron-Dog.

There will be tickets for pet-themed raffle prizes, and the first 100 guests receive a cocktail on the Chronicle. The celebration will also feature dog tarot card readings from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m., Taurus Academy and the Friends of Austin Animal Center. 10% of drink order sales at the event will benefit Emancipet! Friendly pets on a leash welcome! For more click HERE.
