Austin Invites BBQ Aficionados To Compete In Annual Event
Beast of the East 2020 invites teams to participate in the competition that awards the best in three categories.
AUSTIN, TX — As any Texan will tell you, BBQ is not only a method of cooking, here in the Lone Star State it's a way of life. If you're lucky enough to live in Austin, you know that the city offers some of the best bbq restaurants around. If you've managed to perfect your very own bbq skills, and are interested in demonstrating your prowess, The City of Austin will host the Beast of the East BBQ Competition 2020.
The event scheduled Saturday, Feb. 22 invites teams to register to compete in any of three categories including Brisket, Pork Ribs, and Chicken. This year there will also be a bonus category to award Best Salsa. The event will be held at the Dottie Jordan Recreation Center located at 2803 Loyola Ln., Austin, TX 78723.
