Austin Justice Coalition Hosts 4th Annual Black Food Week
The annual food fest offers three full weeks of food, drinks and community empowerment, while showcasing Austin's black-owned restaurants
AUSTIN, TX —Austin Justice Coalition, serving people who are historically and systematically impacted by gentrification, segregation, over policing, a lack of educational and employment opportunities, and other institutional forms of racism in Austin, will host their 4th annual ATX Black Food Week including three full weeks of food, drinks and community empowerment.
This year, the annual event takes place over the course of three full weeks, including two restaurant weeks and a full week dedicated to food trucks beginning Monday, August 24 through Sunday, September 13. The community is invited to share the amazing delicacies using #ATXBFW2020 and take part in the fun.
Black Food Week looks to offer the Austin community with information about Austin's new and long-standing Black-owned restaurants that have become pillars of the Austin community. The annual event is designed as an opportunity to learn about Austin's history, while supporting the businesses that make the city feel like home.
