AUSTIN, TX — The 23rd Annual Austin Museum Day kicks off this year with a full day of events and virtual activities designed to delight and celebrate art, culture, history, music, nature and science. This year's free event will look a bit different as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with some museums participating as part of a Virtual Museum Day event, happening on the Austin Museum Day Facebook page. The virtual event will offer a schedule of activities including craft projects, virtual tours, gallery talks, and more, and will be hosted by different Austin area museums throughout the day.

Austin Museum Day 2020 is scheduled Sunday, Sept. 20 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and the Austin Museum Partnership is working tirelessly to make Museum Day accessible to all, whether you choose to visit participating museums in-person, or explore the virtual exhibits and activities. Updated information about each museum and the schedule may be found HERE, as well as the Virtual Facebook event.

Patrons are invited to share their Austin Museum Day experiences by tagging your photos and posts with #ATXMuseumDay2020 and #atxmuseums. Click links below for detailed information on how to participate in Austin Museum Day, or for more information, click HERE.
