Austin Police Department Makes Arrest In Bank Robbery Investigation

Glemser was charged with Robbery by Threat and booked into the Travis County Jail.

The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit announces the arrest of Jason Glemser for a bank robbery investigation.

On November 18, 2021, at approximately 2:21 p.m., APD responded to a robbery call at the Chase Bank at 2119 East 7th St. A man had entered the bank and told tellers he was committing a robbery, and demanded cash. After getting the cash, he fled the scene on foot.

Witnesses gave police a description of the suspect, and within minutes APD officers located and arrested the suspect without incident. Glemser was charged with Robbery by Threat and booked into the Travis County Jail.

This is the 10th bank robbery in Austin in 2021.
