Austin Theatre Alliance Hosts Online Summer Auction

AUSTIN, TX —In an effort to raise critical funding in support of the Paramount and Stateside Theaters amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Austin Theater Alliance is hosting its Summer Auction with a bevy of items to bid on.

One of the fun items offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your very own message on the iconic theater's marquee. Participants will have exciting opportunities to bid on one-of-a-kind items representative of the spirit of the Paramount, including art, spirits and memorabilia among much more through Friday, July 17 at 4 p.m. CST. A livestream of the auction takes place Friday, July 17 beginning at 3 p.m. CST.

The Austin Theater Alliance is a nonprofit organization overseeing the management of the historic Paramount and Stateside Theaters, including fundraising efforts for the venues. As a result of the pandemic, the organization has been forced to postpone or cancel many of its most important and critical fundraising events including their Anniversary Gala — the Paramount's biggest fundraising event of the year — and have turned to the support of the community to ensure the historic theater opens it doors again at the end of the pandemic.
