Austin Trail Of Lights Celebrates 56 Years Delighting Audiences

The beloved Trail returns to iconic Zilker Park as a drive-thru only event in 2020, and once again features a spectacular lights display.

AUSTIN, TX—While 2020 has been an unpredictable and difficult year, Austinites are fortunate to have time-honored traditions that can withstand challenge. The 56th annual Austin Trail of Lights celebrates the holidays year after year, and will return in 2020 to the City's beloved Zilker Park as a drive-thru only event to ensure the health and safety of the community amid the pandemic.

The longest running holiday tradition of its kind in Austin, the Austin Trail of Lights once again will delight guests from Texas and around the world for a memorable and joyful display of more than 2 million lights, 90 lighted holiday trees, and more than 70 other holiday displays and lighted tunnels.

As has been tradition for several years, the Trail hosts private nights that allow limited free entry through the STARS at the Trail program, working with over 30 non-profit community partners, in addition to thousands of vehicle passes to eligible families throughout the Austin Independent School District.
