AUSTIN, TX — There's always something new to discover in Austin, and this weekend's event guide promises to not disappoint. Whether you're looking to enjoy some Latin flair with a paella dinner or listen to Caribbean sounds, or you're wanting some fun and interactive family activities to enjoy with the kids, we've got you covered. Here are some of the featured events happening in your community.

Art in Cahoots!: A collaborative event between caregiver and child, Art in Cahoots! promises to be a fun morning of socializing, cooperating, and connecting over art! The event is an opportunity to further strengthen the one-on-one bond between caregiver and child, and allows you to interact with other caregiver-child pairs. There will be themed group activities with each class that promotes collaboration and process-based art experiences. Children will build social-emotional skills, while familiarizing themselves with a classroom setting. Science Club: The Science of Snow and DIY Snowglobes: Families are invited to a special morning of creativity and discovery with Yawp! - whose mission it is to connect and support a community of families in a dynamic physical space that promotes respectful relationships and self-directed education. Delve into the world of science with hands-on experiments for all ages. Friday, Jan. 24 come out and build a scene in your take home snow globe. Bring a small figurine or waterproof items to build a scene in your snow globe, all other materials will be provided. Science club is free for Yawp members, and $10/family for non-members. Whole Bagel Run: The Wholy Bagel Run is a creative 3 to 5-mile route that travels south into the historic Bouldin Creek Neighborhood and then returns along the vibrant South Lamar Entertainment District. South Lamar has exploded with new restaurants, boutiques and condos in recent years ever changing the landscape of this sleepy boulevard. This is your chance to scope out the boulevard and plan something new for your next outing. The route finishes with a merge onto the Butler Hike & Bike Trail at Lady Bird Lake and a scenic view of downtown. Enjoy coffee, hot chocolate and other snacks when you finish. January Fix-It Clinic: Is there a fallen hem in your favorite shirt? Did your blender suddenly stop working? Is your child's toy a little worse for the wear? Bring these items and more to the Fix-It Clinic where volunteer coaches with repair know-how will be available to teach you how to fix your item. Fix-It Clinics are all about do-it-together hands-on disassembly, troubleshooting and repair knowledge. Fix-It Clinic attendees are expected to be active participants in trying to fix their items with guidance from our coaches. Paella Night at the Farm: Austhentico takes pride in supporting local farmers and having farm-to-table produce, which is they're having a paella night at a local farm!
