This weekend, Austin hosts several International Women's Day Celebrations, as well as a host of other activities for everyone to enjoy.

Prince and Princess Dance Jam: Join your friends and neighbors on Friday for a magical good time. Dress as your favorite prince or princess and come dance! There are 2 sessions available: Session 1 from 10:30 -11:15 a.m. and Session 2 from 11:15 a.m. - 12 p.m. This is open to kids ages 2-5. So dust off your best prince or princess outfit and come out and dance! Cost is $8 per dancer - payable at the door via cash, credit card, Venmo or PayPal. The People's Gallery|Opening Night: The City of Austin Economic Development Department's Cultural Arts Division presents the People’s Gallery. Since 2005, Austin City Hall has been an annual showcase for works by Austin artists and arts organizations. The People's Gallery reflects the artistic excellence and diversity of Austin. It also promotes the City of Austin’s cultural and economic initiatives. This year we had over 1,200 submissions for consideration. RSVP is not required, as this is a "first come, first served" event. Nosferatu Festival Weekend of Vampires: What better way to Keep Austin Weird than to honor one of the greatest works of cinematic horror with its very own festival? It's been 98 years since the endearing Count Orlok, also known as Nosferatu, was first released on March 4th, 1922. What better setting to embrace all things Vampire than Austin, fondly nicknamed Bat City? Nosferatu Festival is a gathering of fans for the mutual admiration of this masterpiece by way of artwork, music, food, drink and general revelry. Frida Friday ATX's BIDI BIDI BDAY/ International Women's Day: On Saturday, March 7, Frida Friday ATX is TURNING THREE. They're celebrating a #bidibidibday with an AMAZING crew of musicians and artists. In honor of International Women's Day, Frida Friday ATX is joining forces with local award-winning musicians and producers Leti Garza and Stephanie Bergara (of Bidi Bidi Banda) to host 8 amazing womxn vocalists singing songs of liberation and joy. In addition to Leti and Stephanie, featured vocalists, include: Tiarra Girls, Elizabeth McQueen, Naga Valli, Courtney Santana, Ms. Mack, Paula Maya. Featured DJ for the day with Austin legend, DJ Mahealani. The day will also include the amazing Friday Friday ATX market featuring over 25 local creatives, and artists. Backyard Wine & Paella Party|A Celebration of Women in Wine: Come to the Lenoir backyard wine garden on Saturday, March 7 for paella and wine! This event benefits friends from the Wonder Women of Wine conference and highlights some of the best women wine makers in the business. Your ticket gives you entry, access to wine tastings with some of Austin's premier wine importers and distributors, snacks and seafood paella. Vipassana Meditation Class: Join the TownLake YMCA for a Vipassana Meditation class, designed for those seeking exposure to the technique of meditation or a community to sit with fellow meditators. The meditation is audio led by Dhamma teacher/guru Goenkaji, taken directly from the Dhamma website. This class is recommended for those who have taken at least one 10-day Vipassana course so you understand the technique from an experiential level. However, this group sit is open to the public!
