Big Medium Invites Audiences To Enjoy 420 ATX Artists In Austin

Now in its 18th year, the Austin Studio Tour will host a special virtual and outdoor celebration merging East and West Studio Tours.

AUSTIN, TX—Big Medium, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting artists and building community through the arts in Austin and across Texas, will host a virtual and outdoor celebration of Austin artists to introduce the community to new experiences in art, and the creative practices of artists throughout the city.

Now in its 18th year, the 2020 studio tour will merge to create the East and West Austin Studio Tours featuring the works of 420 Austin-based artists and collaboratives.

Tour dates free and open to the public, online and outdoors, Nov. 14 - Nov. 22. The goal of the Austin Studio Tour is to foster connections between artist all over Austin and present the public with a rare opportunity to engage and connect with many of the creatives that help define the culture of the City.

In an effort to protect the safety of the artists, the audience and the community, the Austin Studio Tour offers creative ways to safely experience art through virtual programs and self-guided visits to public art installation. The expanded website (AustinStudioTour.org) includes artist profiles, images of artworks, virtual studio visits, demonstrations, artists talks, and a map of outdoor installations and public art.
