Boys & Girls Clubs Austin Continues Supporting Area Families

AUSTIN, TX —In its commitment to serve Austin families, and especially to help children maintain wellness amid the coronavirus public health concern, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Austin is offering its members free weekly Club-On-the-Go bags each Thursday. These bags include sustainable snacks for the week that align with the USDA nutritional guidelines; themed and DIY activities and supplies, including academic enrichment kits, STEM, art, character development and more; nutritional and healthy habits tips and recipes; guidelines for parents to stay engaged with their kids while at home; updated resource list and contacts for health and social services available throughout the Austin Area.

Families may stay informed about the latest updates to programming and services for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Austin via their website, and through direct email and text messaging to members. There will be a shuttle every Thursday distributing the Club-On-the-Go bags to members at the following locations:

• Home Club at 5 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. located at 6648 Ed Bluestein Blvd., Austin, TX 78723 (serving members from Home Club, Sims, Sadler, Overton, Garcia, LBJ)
• Wooldridge BGC at 5:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. located at 1412 Norseman Terrace, Austin, TX 78758 (serving members from Wooldridge, Cook, Burnet, Navarro, IDEA-R)
• McBee BGC at 5:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. located at 1001 W. Braker Ln., Austin, TX 78758 (serving members from McBee, Cook, NYOC)
• Galindo BGC at 5 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. located at 3800 S. 2nd St., Austin, TX 78704
• Meadowbrook BGC at 5 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. located at 1201 W. Live Oak St., Austin, TX 78704
• Chalmers Court BGC at 5:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. located at 1638 E. 2nd. St., Austin, TX 78702
• Walnut Creek BGC at 5:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. located 401 W. Braker Ln., Austin, TX 78753
