Cap Metro Offers On-Demand Transit Via Phone App

AUSTIN, TX —Austin area residents now have the chance to experience ride hailing service from Capital Metro and on-demand transit with their Pickup app from your home to an appointment, shopping trips within its service zone. For $1.25, the same cost as MetroBus and MetroRapid, passengers can get to their destination with ease through the a simple phone app.

Cap Metro has implemented changes to its services in response to COVID-19, including a reduced schedule, and customers are encouraged to limit travel when possible. Pickup zones are available within on weekdays from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., with no Saturday service for available. Cap Metro will make changes to its service based on public health recommendations via Austin Public Health and the CDC, and will update their website for most up-to-date information.
