CapMetro Adjusts New Year's Holiday Schedule In Austin

AUSTIN, TX — Capital Metro, the city's transit agency, has issued service adjustments for the New Year's holiday period that includes free rides on Thursday.

CapMetro bus trips will be free after 5 p.m. on Thursday, excluding MetroBike. MetroRail will end service with the last train from the Downtown Station at 7:18 p.m.

On Friday, Sunday level service will be offered but with no MetroRail, Pickup or MetroExpress. MetroAccess subscription trips will be canceled. Those needing to schedule a MetroAccess trip on Friday are directed to call (512) 852-7272 to schedule a trip.
