Celebrity Chef Hosts Benefit Virtual BBQ Lesson

Chef Kent Rathbun will host a virtual backyard BBQ lesson to raise money for Dishing Out Relief, a fund to help restaurant industry workers.

AUSTIN, TX —With the great Texas weather, and as more people spend time at home, backyard BBQ's offer a relaxing and entertaining way to make the most of families being together. Dallas Observer at Home hosts celebrity chef Kent Rathbun for a virtual BBQ lesson to help you realize the perfect cookout and is scheduled Thursday, May 28 at 5:30 p.m.

The virtual event benefits Dishing out Relief an initiative created by the Texas Restaurant Association Relief Fund. The mission of the Texas Restaurant Association Relief Fund is to provide immediate financial relief to Texas' independent restaurateurs with funds designed to save employee jobs. This was established through the Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit focused on the education and development of Texas' restaurant industry workforce. Participants are encouraged to RSVP by Wednesday, May 27 at 6 p.m.

Chef Rathbun will teach participants tips and tricks for the perfect barbecue all from the comfort of home. Once registered, participants will receive a shopping list provided prior to the event to follow along as Chef Rathbun demonstrates cooking techniques. A video link will be emailed to registered participants the day before the event, and the video will be live-streamed on Thursday, May 28 at 5:30 p.m. To learn more or to register, click HERE.
