Cirque d'Vote Brings Excitement, Entertainment To The Polls

Emergency Circus, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing joy under tough times, will offer performances for Austinites as they cast their vote.

AUSTIN, TX—Enjoy a circus extravaganza and a nonpartisan celebration as Circus Picnic and the Emergency Circus partner to bring Cirque d'Vote, featuring clowns, acrobats, stilt-walkers, jugglers, and more as you wait to cast your vote in line at the polls. Emergency Circus is a nonprofit organization who brings circus performances to people facing difficult challenges across the world; amid the pandemic and the election season, the organization looks to bring joy to voters across the country. The performances will be held at a safe distance from spectators, and COVID-19 precautions will be in place for the health and well-being of the performers and the community.

Come check out a memorable experience on Sunday, Oct. 25 beginning at 12 p.m., across from the Carver Branch, Austin Public Library located at 1161 Angelina St., Austin, TX 78702. Voters, remember to bring everything you need to vote including your ID and your face covering/mask. The goal of Emergency Circus and its Cirque d'Vote is to liven up polling places across the country, and get the community excited about the process of voting.
