The virtual event is an opportunity for the community to receive online help fixing items around the house and keeps items out of landfills.

AUSTIN, TX —As people spend more time at home these days, projects around the house begin popping up. For many, a quick repair doesn't take much effort, but for most of us, the thought of repair work can seem daunting. The City of Austin will host its first virtual Fix-It Clinic on Saturday, May 16 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Whether you have an appliance that's on the fritz, a garment that needs an alteration, or anything else around the house you may have your eyes set on repairing, you'll be able to do so from the comfort of home. Fix-It Clinics offer a way to keep items out of landfills, teaches repair skills, and gives you the confidence to begin troubleshooting projects in the future.
