The Co Report To Host Curly Girl Picnic SXSW Edition

AUSTIN, TX — The Co Report will host its first Curly Girl Picnic SXSW Edition on Saturday, March 17 from 9 AM - 5 PM. This natural hair picnic during SXSW and will feature a majority of Black-owned brands in cosmetics, natural hair care, skin care, and various other goods and services.

.“There are many women of color, myself included, who have attended SXSW and have felt culturally left out due to the lack of genuine representation as well as the lack of meaningful discussions, gatherings, and events that are specific to people of color. The Curly Girl Picnic is our safe haven.” – Coco Bates, Content Creator for The Co Report.

This event will give women with kinky, curly, and coily tresses in Austin during SXSW to come together in a positive environment to network with one another, learn new techniques in natural hair, beauty, and skincare. There will be presentations on self-love, natural hair, skincare, entrepreneurship, traveling abroad, and dating/relationships. Guests will have the opportunity to interact and ask the panelists questions.
