Community Conversations Center On Public Safety And Invite Input
The City of Austin will host January sessions to discuss how public safety and the police should work and will welcome community input.
AUSTIN, TX—This January, Austin residents are invited to several new community conversations to incorporate input and to create a pathway for a public safety service that works for all. Community conversations offer a way for residents to join in on the discussion about how public safety and the police should work in Austin.
Scheduled throughout January via Zoom, each session will include a facilitator discussing real-life scenarios that may have involved the police. District sessions are designed for residents of the specific district, and Citywide meetings are open to anyone living and working in Austin. An entirely Spanish-language session will be held on January 16, and all other meeting will be in English and interpreted in Spanish.
