Contemporary Printmaking Works Exhibited At First Annual Show
Under Pressure: The First Annual Flatbed Community Show hosted by Flatbed Printmaking features unique works by talented artists.

AUSTIN, TX — Flatbed Center for Contemporary Printmaking, dedicated to creating and promoting the art and craft of the original print, and to inform and broaden the audience for it, will host Under Pressure: The First Annual Flatbed Community Show. Under Pressure Community Show is a membership exhibition that will be open to the public with Community Press members and Flatbed staff exhibiting, including works ranging in scale and technique by:

- Alfonso Huerta
- Judith Long

- Emily Weiskopf
- Jill Wilkinson
The exhibition will run Friday, August 21 from 10 a.m. through Tuesday, September 15 at 5 p.m. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. and by appointment in compliance with CDC safety guidelines. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no public reception, however, the exhibition will be open to the public during gallery hours to four or fewer visitors at a time and by appointment.
A Zoom opening with artists interviews is being planned with more details to follow. Membership to the Community Press is open to artists with printmaking experience and Flatbed is currently accepting applications for membership.
