Coronavirus: ADRN Offers Financial Aid To Austin Area Residents

The Austin Disaster Relief Network recently launched its COVID-19 Relief Fund assistance program to help residents facing economic hardship.

AUSTIN, TX —To help communities most impacted by the economic effects of COVID-19, the Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) recently announced its efforts toward distributing financial aid to individuals and families, specifically those experiencing loss of jobs and income. The aid will help cover basic needs such as food and gas, and will also provide assistance for other essential items as more funds are raised through the organization.

On Monday, April 20, the first day of financial aid distribution, ADRN assisted 28 individuals/families through its COVID-19 Relief Fund. “We are expecting to assist hundreds of families who’ve lost their jobs or seen a reduction in their income over the next couple of months as a result of the COVID-19 crisis,” Daniel Geraci, Executive Director of ADRN said. “While the funds they receive through the stimulus package may help them catch up on last month’s bills, we’re hoping to give them additional assistance for the month of April and May by providing for their groceries and gas.”

Residents of the Greater Austin area may request funds by visiting adrn.org/COVIDRelief for instructions on how to apply. Applicants must complete an online form and provide the following documentation in order to be considered for financial aid assistance:
