Documentary Film Chronicles Struggles Of Growing Up Fatherless
The Pflugerville Library hosts a screening of the documentary film The Man In Me: The Documentary and explores the impact of involved dads.

PFLUGERVILLE, TX —Pflugerville Black Business Leaders and the Pflugerville Library invite the community to a screening of The Man In Me: The Documentary —a film exploring the challenges of growing up without a father, while highlighting the impact involved dads have on their children.
Documentary filmaker, best-selling author, and male advocate Isaac Rowe and colleagues share their experiences of what having an absent father meant in their lives. The heartfelt film chronicles boyhood and fatherhood through the eyes of men, and allows an exploration of stories from men of all sociocultural backgrounds. In the course of documenting his own experience, Rowe discovers the prevalence of fatherless households within families and communities.
The Man In Me is an honest telling of the meaning of fatherhood via a multitude of philosophies. Along with compelling storytelling, Rowe's film offers supporting data and interviews with experts including case workers and law makers examining the vital impact the role of a father has on a child.
