Drag Performers To Take Austin International Drag Fest Stage
Hundreds of drag performers from around the world will gather in Austin to showcase talent for the 2019 Austin International Drag Festival.
AUSTIN, TX — The Austin International Drag Foundation Inc., supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department, will host the 2019 Austin International Drag Festival, showcasing the talent of performers from around the world.
The weekend event kicks off on Thursday, Nov. 14 and will run through Sunday, Nov. 17 in Austin at the Drag Village at Holiday Inn & Downtown Austin located at 6000 Middle Fiskville Rd., Austin, TX 78752. There will be events throughout the day and night throughout the weekend, including daytime Drag showcases; a Drag Market; meet & greets; panels; workshops; podcasts; game shows; a photography studio; a Glamour Lounge; a wardrobe Welcome Show; after hours events and much for everyone to enjoy.
The evenings will invite guests to catch a Drag Shuttle to downtown Austin to enjoy more from the best Drag artists from around the world across various venues including Elysium, Valhalla, Swan Dive, and Sellers Underground. The festival is open to all ages, however, the evening Drag showcases are limited to ages 21 and over (Elysium stage is 18+). Minors ages 16 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Daytime performances are rated G to PG-13, however, some festival content and language may not be suitable for all ages and parental discretions may be advised.

The festival will feature nearly 400 performances throughout the weekend and include Ambassadors and Headliners such as: KingFest (Thursday), Soju's Seoul Train Kpop Party (Thursday evening), Book signings (all weekend), Shot with Soju (Live recording), TristhTV (Live recording), Nerd Alert w/Erika Klash (Live recording), Dr. Lady J live Drag History Podcast, and more.
