Early Voting For Texas Runoff Elections Ends July 10, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — Today, June 10, is the last day for early voting for upcoming runoff elections in July.

The state will stage runoff elections on July 14 to determine the Democratic and Republican primary candidates whose names will appear on the general election ballot in November. More than 30 races in the March 3 primary yielded no clear winner — which is to say no candidate secured more than 50 percent of the vote — which created the need for runoff elections between those garnering first and second place in terms of cast ballots.

This year's primary runoffs originally were scheduled to occur on May 26 before being postponed to July 14 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Early voting began on June 29.
