The Austin Police Department (APD) has identified Marcus Sierra as the deceased in the crash on S IH-35 SB.

On December 4, 2021, at approximately 4:48 a.m., APD responded to an auto and pedestrian crash. The initial investigation shows the Ford Escape was traveling southbound in the 6100 block of S IH 35 SB proper, and struck a pedestrian. Marcus Sierra was pronounced deceased on scene at 5:05 a.m. The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
