Female Student Attacked On University of Texas Campus

The incident happened early Friday morning.

A University of Texas student was attacked while walking on campus early Friday morning.

According to KVUE, UT police said the female student was walking on a road on campus near 24th Street just before 1 a.m., when a man ran up to her and struck the student in the back of her neck, causing her to fall to the ground.  

After the man hit the woman, he hesitated, then fled eastbound on 24th Street, according to the report. The victim told UT police that she had noticed the man loitering along the same path she was walking.

According to the report, the man has short brown hair and is an average height and weight. He was last seen wearing a red shirt with a black logo and athletic shorts. If you have any information, call UT Police at 512-471-4441.
