Festival Celebrates Fried Chicken And Hot Wings Goodness

AUSTIN, TX — Hot wings are having a moment. Visit any casual eatery and you're likely to find them on the menu. Equal parts comfort food and delicacy, hot wings are enjoyed any time of the year; but there's something special about partaking in a spicy pile of sauced wings along with an ice cold beer and watching your favorite football team play in the fall.

To celebrate the goodness of chicken, The Austin Fried Chicken and Hot Wing Festival kicks off the weekend with an event features fried chicken and hot wings prepared in a variety of delicious ways. The festival gives attendees the chance to sample all the different ways the culinary community pays tribute to the hot wing and adds their uniquely Austin twist.

The Austin Fried Chicken and Hot Wing Festival promises to be an event the entire family will enjoy. Along with incredible food, there will be live music and plenty of entertainment for all ages. Held in downtown Austin at Palm Park located at 301 E. 3rd St., the event takes place Saturday, Nov. 9 from 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $10 and children 6 and under enter FREE.
