Festival Welcomes Community To Create New Holiday Memories

The Light Up the Lake Festival is a 2-day event offering Round Rock residents opportunities to celebrate the holidays in a special way.

ROUND ROCK, TX— Round Rock residents will have opportunities to create new holiday memories with a new 2-day holiday festival around the lake and festival area at Old Settlers Park. Light Up the Lake is a free festival featuring holiday cold and hot air balloons hovering over Bright Lake, an amazing light show, live music, holiday displays, great holiday food and refreshments, Yule log and much more.

Scheduled Friday, Dec. 4 and Saturday, Dec. 5 beginning at 6:30 p.m. and to ensure social distancing, a limited amount of FREE tickets will be issued for each night. FREE online ticket registration is coming soon. There will be live music entertainment from the Chad Cooke Band on Friday night and the SPAZMATICS on Saturday night. Socially distanced seating will be provided and reservations will need to be made online prior to the events.

In an effort to protect the health and well-being of staff, attendees and the community, there will be COVID-19 safety protocols in place including extra sanitization throughout the festival; activities will be spread out throughout the 24 acres and mile-long trail around Bright Lake; social distancing will be practiced; face coverings are recommended and encouraged.
