Flash Flood Warning Issued For Austin, Pflugerville: NWS
The National Weather Service issued the warning through 6 p.m. CT.
AUSTIN, TX — The National Weather Service in Austin has issued a flash flood warning for parts of Travis and Bastrop counties. The warning includes the cities of Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville and Wells Branch.
The warning is in effect through 6 p.m. It affects more than 1.2 million people.
Just before 3 p.m., radar indicated thunderstorms moving across portions of the Hill Country, through Travis and Williamson counties, including the Austin metro and into the coastal plains.

Storms were producing heavy rainfall, and forecasters were predicting accumulation of 1 to 3 inches per hour.
Flash flooding could affect area creeks and streams, highways, streets and underpasses.
