Georgetown Palace Theatre Hosts New Year's Eve Movie Marathon

Guests can enjoy 80's pop culture with screenings of the 'Back to the Future' trilogy while enjoying music, trivia, prizes and more.

AUSTIN, TX—This New Year's Eve treat yourself to a dose of 80's pop culture by heading over to Georgetown Palace Theatre for the Indoor Movie: Back to the Future Movie Marathon - New Year's Eve event showcasing all "Back to the Future" movies.

The movie marathon will include a 30 minute break in-between, and admission will be by donation only. Attendees are welcome to pay what they can to help support the movie house.

Beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, attendees are encouraged to wear their best Marty McFly, Doc or 80's attire for a chance to win a prize. Enjoy 80's music played between shows, and test your film knowledge with "Back to the Future" trivia questions. Seat reservations are intended for all three movie screening, but guests may arrive or leave at any time.

Georgetown Palace Theatre is located at 810 S. Austin Ave. in Georgetown, Texas. For directions click here. The movie schedule will begin at 5 p.m. with Back to the Future, followed by Back to the Future Part 2 beginning at 7:30 p.m., and concluding at 10 p.m. with "Back to the Future Part 3."

In light of the growing coronavirus reach, the theater has updated its protocols for inside shows including, but not limited to temperature checks at the door; protective facial coverings required of patrons at all times; hand-sanitizer for every patron; frequent sanitizing of all surfaces; two-seat separations and empty row between groups; staggered arrival and dismissal;and social distancing throughout the building.
