Christmas Market Showcases German Culture, Offers Authentic Gifts

GTHS invites the community to a unique Christmas Market that features authentic German food and gifts, and plenty of fun for the family.

AUSTIN, TX — The German-Texan Annual Christmas Market is a great opportunity to come explore culture and shop unique gifts for everyone on your Christmas list. On Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., attendees will enjoy a fill day of delicious food, beer and drinks, and entertainment for young and old alike.

In addition to fun and activities, the Christmas Market will offer a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. There will be authentic German, handcrafted Christmas ornaments, nutcrackers, Schwiebogen, smokers and decor. Guests will enjoy Gluehwein (hot spiced wine), Christmas Stollen made by The New World Bakery, and Silke's German Gourmet Cookies. The event will also feature performances by the Saengerrunde and Sunshine Willie Stump Band.

Members of the German Texans Heritage Society will have the chance to enjoy a preview day of shopping early and skip the lines on Wednesday, Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 5 from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. For more details, click HERE.
