Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Travis, Williamson Counties

Westard movement of the remnants of Hurricane Hanna are creating conditions likely to form heavy rainfall for much of the area.

AUSTIN, TX — A hazardous weather outlook was issued Sunday for several counties, including Travis and Williamson.

The National Weather Service said a large swath of South-Central Texas was included in the notice, with heavy rainfall possible south of Interstate 10 and Highway 90 in some areas. The storms are remnants of Tropical Storm Hanna as the formation moves away to the west, meteorologists added.

Heavy rain could fall on the region through the day and into the evening, weather officials said.

In addition to Travis and Williamson counties, the hazardous weaher outlook covers: Llano; Burnet; Val Verde; Edwards; Real; Kerr; Bandera; Gillespie; Kendall; Blanco; Hays; Bastrop; Lee; Kinney; Uvalde; Medina; Bexar; Comal; Guadalupe; Caldwell; Fayette; Maverick; Zavala; Frio; Atascosa; Wilson; Karnes; Gonzales; De Witt; Lavaca; and Dimmit.

No hazardous weather is expected from Monday through Saturday of the coming week, officials noted.
