Healthier Texas Summit Series Explores Challenges, Solutions

The virtual webinar series highlights ways communities across the state are rising to meet today's health challenges.

AUSTIN, TX —The 2020 Healthier Texas Summit Series invites the community to connect and be part of the conversation on strengthening the health of Texans. The virtual series is designed to reach broad audiences who champion health initiatives in the community. Online sessions will offer insight on innovative, novel ways communities across the state are rising to meet today's challenges.

The free online series will run through Thursday, October 29 and will offer:

  • Earn CECs in a safe, virtual environment
  • Sessions on trending and relevant topics
  • Discuss collaboration successes, challenges and ways to resolve issues
  • New Summit Series Book club featuring Keynote Speaker, Dr. Sandro Galea
  • Foster cross sector collaboration via online networking opportunities

The upcoming session, Defining Coalitions and Their Role in Addressing Social Determinants of Health scheduled Thursday, September 3 from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. will feature panelists sharing perspectives on how they define a coalition, how one is formed, and how coalitions address social determinants of health.
