Historic Sites, Wooded Trails Lend To Ideal Haunted Experience
Pioneer Farms to host six nights of Halloween scare with spooky trails, live music, and plenty of frightfully fun activities for all ages.
AUSTIN, TX — Steeped in history, The Jourdan-Bachman Pioneer Farms is one of Austin's most unique places to visit. Made up of six themed historic areas and open for walking tours, visitors can experience an 1841 Tonkawa Encampment, an 1853 Walnut Creek Greenbelt, an 1868 German Emigrant Farm, an 1873 Texan Farm, an 1887 Cotton Planter's Farm, and an 1899 Sprinkle Corner rural village. Each area sits among more than 90 wooded acres that create an ideal backdrop for Halloween scares and fun.
If you're looking for a memorable Halloween for the family, then the 2019 Dark Harvest: Days of Feast, Nights of Fear is an event you won't want to miss. Families are invited to enjoy live music and a family-friendly ghost extravaganza complete with spooky trails, fortune telling, pumpkin carving and more! There will also be prize-winning costume contests each night. Event runs for 6 evenings including Halloween night: Friday, Oct. 18 & Saturday, Oct. 19 from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 25, Saturday, Oct. 26 & Sunday, Oct. 27 from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m; and Halloween night, Thursday, Oct. 31 from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. Adult admission is $15, Child admission is $10.
