How To Help Campaign Supports City's COVID-19 Response

The initiative connects those interested in lending a hand to area non-profits, faith-based and government programs in need of support.

AUSTIN, TX —As a way to connect community members with volunteer opportunities in response to COVID-19, the City of Austin launched its How to Help Campaign in June 2020 to support area non-profits, faith-based, and government programs.

Having created a COVID-19: How to Help site on GivePulse - an Austin-based technology platform to list, find, organize and measure the impact of service in the community, makes it easy for people to learn about and support the urgent needs of the community. Participants are able to find a match faster with a filter feature, sign up opportunity, donate opportunity, or help spreading the word on most needed services.

For questions about the initiative, interested participants may contact Kim Caldwell (kimberly.caldwell@austintexas.gov) and for questions about GivePulse, please reach out to Mariana Prieto (mariana@givepulse.com). For more information, click HERE.
