Interstate 35 Lane Closures For Jan. 16-22, 2020

AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Department of Transportation has issued its weekly list of lane closures along Interstate 35, yielding a helpful driving primer in the process. Motorists who check the driving guide in advance of travel can deftly avoid areas of potential traffic congestion along the key road.

The latest lane closures covers the period between Jan. 16-22.

I-35 FROM RM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)

• Northbound I-35 frontage road reduced to one lane from Jeffrey Way to the RM 1431 exit (#256)
  • Through early 2021

I-35 FROM GRAND AVENUE PARKWAY TO SH 45 NORTH

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily from Wells Branch Parkway to Three Points Road. The Grand Avenue Parkway exit (#248) and the Wells Branch Parkway entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Monday, Jan. 18 through Friday, Jan. 22 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Wells Branch Parkway to Three Points Road. The Grand Avenue Parkway exit (#248) and the Wells Branch Parkway entrance ramp will also be closed.
  • Monday, Jan. 18 through Thursday, Jan. 21 from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 Hesters Crossing exit (#251) closed nightly
  • Sunday, Jan. 17 through Thursday, Jan. 21 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

I-35 AT PARMER LANE

• Northbound I-35 bypass lane closed at Parmer Lane
  • Through early 2021
• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed daily at Parmer Lane
  • Saturday, Jan. 16 through Monday, Jan. 18 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST

• Northbound US 183 frontage road reduced to one lane from I-35 to Gessner Drive
  • Through February 2021
• Southbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed nightly at I-35
  • Sunday, Jan. 17 through Monday, Jan. 18 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound and northbound I-35 U-turn closed at US 183
  • Sunday, Jan. 17 from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly from St. Johns Avenue to Huntland Drive
  • Sunday, Jan. 17 through Thursday, Jan. 21 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from US 183 to Norwood Park Boulevard
  • Sunday, Jan. 17 through Wednesday, Jan. 20 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound US 183 closed nightly from the I-35/Lamar Boulevard exit to the Cameron Road entrance ramp

• Northbound I-35 left lane closed nightly from Park Plaza Drive to Rundberg Lane
  • Tuesday, Jan. 19 through Thursday, Jan. 21 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Southbound I-35 right lane closed nightly from Barwood Park to Wonsley Drive
  • Tuesday, Jan. 19 through Wednesday, Jan. 20 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from La Posada Drive to Camino La Costa
  • Wednesday, Jan. 20 through Thursday, Jan. 21 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE

• Westbound Stassney Lane left lane closed at the I-35 frontage road

I-35 FROM RM 150 TO KYLE CROSSING

• Northbound I-35 frontage road left lane closed from FM 150 to Brent Boulevard
  • Through February 2021
• Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from FM 1626 to Kyle Crossing

I-35 AT POSEY ROAD

• Northbound I-35 Posey Road exit (#199) closed
